Coming to its maintenance, we have tested this specific aspect extensively, as we believe that ease of maintenance is at the heart of any product; if you find a product difficult to manage, it is bargaining more than it is worth. The Philips QT4001/15 provides no hassle whatsoever. It is extremely user-friendly, not only through its ergonomic design but also because of its ease of cleaning. Simply detach the head of the trimmer and put in on the sink for rinsing it clean. Afterwards, it is ideal to let it dry before putting it re-attaching it back. If in a hurry, simply dry the head with tissue paper.

This Trimmer can only be used cordless. We have verified that it works for 45 minutes after being charged for 10 hours, and there is a battery indicator that changes from red to green and vice versa depending on the remaining charge. Though the charging time may seem quite long, it should be kept in mind that a Trimmer is generally not used on a daily basis, and you can keep it charged any time before usage, not being forced to always keep it charged. Moreover, the 45-minute service is more than long enough for a typical Trimming session. One should compare this battery life with other electronic devices such as mobile phones which can easily give over 4 hours of active service. Of course, Trimmers are not meant to be used all day every day.

Convenience

However, the Trimmer does not have vacuum which would make a Trimming session spotless, with no messy hair littering the basin and the floor.

Price

This Trimmer is not the most economical one you can find on the market. There are several trimmers which you can get under a budget however, we stress quality over cheap bargains, and we personally have experience of having to re-buy a product after it under-delivered. Would you want to risk buying a cheap product and then having to go to the hassle of buying another one? We would not, and so we recommend you buy a good Trimmer which will last you 2-3 years, or even more!
